Edge Upholstery offers a comprehensive upholstery class that provides a hands-on learning experience for individuals interested in the craft.

The class covers everything from selecting the right fabrics and tools to mastering staple gun skills and sewing methods. With expert guidance from skilled instructors, students can explore their creativity and gain valuable skills in upholstery.

Whether you are a beginner looking to start a new hobby or a seasoned enthusiast wanting to refine your techniques, our Tuesday Evening upholstery class offers a supportive environment to learn and grow your upholstery skills.

Class dates are: September 8th, 15th, 22nd, 29th, October 6th, 13th, 20th, November 3rd, 10th, 17th, 24th, December 1st.

Frequently asked questions

Is there parking at Edge Upholstery? There is on street parking on the neighbouring streets.

Is it easy to travel by public transport? We are a two minute walk from Homerton station on the Overground which has easy connections to the Victoria and Jubilee lines.

Can I leave my project at the workshop? If you are on our 12 week course, yes, size permitting.If you are a monthly Saturday student, I’m afraid not, storage space is very limited.

What’s the cancellation policy? Cancellations made within 5 working days of the start date will not be eligible for a refund.

Do you sell gift vouchers? We do indeed, drop us an email and we can help you out.

What sort of chair should I get? If it’s your first time at upholstery, we recommend starting small and working up to bigger and more complex projects. We are happy to advise and make recommendations based on your needs.

If I miss a class on the 12 week course, can I make the time up? If you are unable to attend a class, Edge Upholstery will try and offer a chance to catch up. However, this is at our discretion. The only available catch up space would be on a Saturday Class that runs once a month and it will be subject to there being an unsold space available. While this is not always guaranteed, we do normally manage to catch students up. Catch up classes cannot be accrued and carried into a new term.
